With the shooting of Renee Good, the battle lines of the core conflict underlying this Presidential term are becoming clear. The electoral lessons of 2024 are being thrown out the window as the open borders left has once again hijacked mainstream Democrat politics. The Democrat reaction to the shooting is entirely about their ideological commitment to open borders.
What is occurring is actually a referendum of the very concept of the Westphalian nation-state itself, that is, the idea of the state being a concrete entity defined by borders and citizenship status. The establishment of this concept at the Peace of Westphalia in 1648 laid the foundations of geopolitics in the entire time since. Its alternative is a kind of anarchic sandbox world with total freedom of movement. On a sufficiently lengthy timescale, this would mean total domination by Africans:
Africa is the only continent in the world that is projected to continue geometric population growth over the coming century. Everyone else is just treading water or already sinking. The population of Japan is expected to decline by almost sixty million by 2100. The total fertility rate of South Korea is 0.75 children per woman, a far cry from the minimum being necessary for population replacement, 2.1. The population of China is expected to be cut in half by 2100.
In America, the non-Hispanic White total fertility rate is about 1.5, meaning there are more deaths than births and this population is contracting. European-Americans are slowly continuing to be a lower proportion of the American population over time, and we have every reason to believe that trend will continue. Many of our own people cheer it on, in fact.
The Cultural Marxist frame calling for “the death of whiteness” has been internalized among the trendy and powerful in the Democratic Party. Though some Democrats like Gavin Newsom attempt to thread the needle by calling for a prioritization on border enforcement instead of internal deportations, the winning tone in the Democratic Party is still one of total open borders and non-enforcement both at the border and internally. Remarkably, tens if not hundreds of millions of Americans seem to believe that American citizens are not subject to the authority of ICE officers, who are federal cops.
The Peace of Westphalia ended the Thirty Years War, the most brutal and jarring in European history up until WWI. Eight million people died during the conflict. The Westphalian system is quite simply the notion that each state has exclusive sovereignty over its territory. In a world where America has no border enforcement whatsoever, our state loses sovereignty and becomes subject to the whims of all the alien cultures of the world. We see that happening now in Minneapolis and Los Angeles. By the time we start trying to enforce our own sovereignty over ourselves, it’s already too late. Even if all twenty million illegal immigrants are deported, there are already over a hundred million among us who have total sympathy with the Third World. The Westphalian system may not be long for this Earth.
